Visions of the Resurrected Christ - Appearing to Them
Over the past few weeks we've explored the post-resurrection appearances of Jesus to Mary Magdalene, the two disciples on the road to Emmaus, and finally the Apostles. One thing stands out - Thomas gets a bad rap because he was not the only one who doubted. Everyone, every single apostle and disciple believed Jesus was dead, and refused to believe in the bodily resurrection until they saw him with their own eyes. And, at first, the Apostles thought Jesus was a ghost (Luke 24:37), and were still nervous even after seeing the wounds in his hands and feet. Without those appearances the Apostles and disciples would have dissipated and disappeared. We would never have heard of Jesus. But He arose and appeared to them and they spent the rest of their lives sharing the wonderful news of the resurrected Savior.

We will wrap up our study: Lessons from the Life of Jesus, Studies in the book of Mark with two more sermons in the Appearing to Them series: In Galilee, and At the Ascension. Then we will follow the continued work of Jesus in the Acts of the Apostles. These sermons are recorded and made available under the Audio button. Feel free to listen and share with your friends.

Our Mission
It is our desire to serve God according to His will as authorized for His church in the New Testament.  As prescribed in Revelation 22:18-19 we seek to neither add to nor subtract from the doctrine contained in God's Word.  We're simply christians working together for the glory of God who trust that "the good hand of God is on us" (Ezra 7 & 8).  We have two godly men serving as shepherds of the church; Gary Phillips and Mark Venable.  James McClenny serves as the preacher.  The members, elders, and preacher are united as one with one aim - the praise of God's glory (Ephesians 1:6, 12, 14).
